Second procedure: 9 month update (274 days post-op)

Hello everyone,

Today is Thursday, August 11, 2016 and I am now 9 months post-op from my second hair transplant procedure that I had on November 11, 2015 with Dr. Matthew Huebner of Natural Transplants in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

As the months continue to fly by, I am just so happy with how much more hair continues to grow in, justifying why I did the second procedure.

I had my most recent haircut on July 24 and decided to do a No.4 guard on the back and sides. I was very pleased that I didn’t have any sort of a crease line in the back of my head so I’ll continue cutting my hair that short from now on.

A year ago at this time after I celebrated the one year post-op mark from my first procedure, the scar on the right-middle side of the back of my head was a lot wider than the left side so whenever I got a haircut I couldn’t go shorter than a 5-guard without the crease line showing up.

In other news due to popular demand, I’ve done some hair styling videos solely for the YouTube channel so check them out when you get a chance!

Check back next month at the 10 month mark.

All my best,
-Lance

You seem very committed to this hairstyle : ) At some point you might want to consider let’s say a $200 haircut as a way of celebrating your transformation, and also to see the potential looks-value of your investment. Short of that, maybe you could post a photo with the front combed more forward?

Hi and thanks for your comment. Haha, I don’t think I’d ever spend $200 on a haircut as I could buy a LOT of beer with that much money. In all seriousness though, I’m really happy with how things have turned out and I’ll consider other styling options as we get closer to the fall and my one year post-op mark.

      All my best,

Hey Lance, subscriber #142 – thanks for your blog! I wish I had connected with you sooner. You are by far the most well documented 2 procedure blogger that I have come across after 2 years of research.

I am just 6 months post op from my first procedure. I had my procedure after a year and a half of research and meeting with some underwhelming surgeons in my area (San Francisco Bay Area). I put a deposit down with Dr Diep in the the San Jose area but then pulled out.

As I await the full result I am calibrating whether another procedure will be worthwhile. This has not been easy but I just got my 4th post op haircut and the growth is very encouraging. I’m doing all 3 FDA approved methods for maintaining and hoping that one procedure will be enough.

I’m curious how you made the decision on who to go with? Anyways, thanks for the vids – i’ll be looking forward to the next.

    Regards,

    Justin R

Hi Justin, thanks for your comment and I’m glad you like my blog.

At 6 months post-op you’re now seeing some initial growth as the hair is probably very patchy and growing in bunches so there’s a lot to look forward to as the months progress.

To answer your question, I chose Dr. Huebner because he offered me a better rate for my surgery.

Keep me updated on your progress!

      All my best,
      -Lance
