Third Procedure: 10 Month Update (310 Days Post-Op)

Hello everyone,

Today is Thursday, November 23, 2017 and I am now 10 months and six days post-op from my Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) scar revision procedure.

I got a haircut on November 19th with a 3.5-guard around the entire suture line but I feel the barber kept the hair a little too long, compared with my last haircut.

If you’ve been following my blog and my channel for a while now, I’ve often mentioned that when you get to 11 months post-op you pretty much know what your final result will look like, so next month I will get a 3-guard around the entire suture line.

As I mentioned in last month’s post, unfortunately, I can’t get my temporal peaks cut at the same length as the hair around the repaired suture line. This is because density grafts were used to thicken those areas and if they are cut too short, they will look pluggy.

With next month being 11 months post-op, I pretty much know what my final result will look like and I am super stoked to see how short I’ll be able to cut my hair.

Check back next month in December when I reach 11 months post-op.

Happy Thanksgiving and all my best,
-Lance

Second Procedure: 10 Month Update (312 Days Post-Op)

If you would like to learn more about my story and how a hair transplant procedure can regrow your hair, feel free to email me or contact my patient educator Steve Cook at 305.416.8418 as well at steve@mcgrathmedical.com.

Hello everyone,

Today is Sunday, September 18, 2016 and I am now 10 months post-op from my second hair transplant procedure.

I’m a bit behind on this month’s update as I’ve dealt with a bad sinus infection for the past two weeks but I’m feeling much better now.

As the months continue to fly by, I am just ecstatic with how everything looks.

Since late July I’ve been able to get a consistently short  haircut with a No.4 guard on the back and sides and it looks fantastic!

Compared with how I looked at this time a year ago when I decided to do the second procedure, my hair now is much more thick and I can style it how I prefer with a faux-hawk style.

It’s hard to believe that I am nearing the end of this journey but even with two months left, there is still plenty more growth to go.

In other news another one of my followers Rich had his first procedure a month ago on August 12 and has written his own hair transplant blog called Get Your Hair Back Blog. If you get a chance, definitely check out his blog and also check out Aaron’s blog at Follow My Hair.

Check back next month in October at the 11 month mark as I close in on my final result.

All my best,
-Lance

10 Month Update (310 Days Post-Op)

Hello everyone,

Today is May 20, 2015 and I am now 10 months or 310 days post-op. I was out of town the past couple of days hence, why I am behind on this month’s update.

I got my hair cut on May 1, so this month’s pics show how much more hair has grown in since my last haircut in February at the 7 month mark. Whenever I get a haircut I have to make sure that the barber doesn’t go too short on the sides and back so that the thin scar won’t be detectable. The barber went a little too short for me with a No. 3 (3/8 of an inch) on the back and sides so my scar looked like a crease in my hair like when you wear a baseball cap.

The thin areas behind my restored hairline are better filling in compared with last month and lately I’ve been styling my hair in a fauxhawk. Before my surgery I could have never worn a hairstyle like this without it looking terrible because of my receding temples.

Even though my hair looks better now than before I started losing my hair in my early twenties, I still have another two months to go before my final result.

Check back next month at 11 months post-op as I close in on my one year anniversary of my surgery.

All my best,

-Lance
