Hello everyone,

Today is Monday, April 17, 2017 and I am now three months post-op from my Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) scar revision procedure.

I got a haircut today and had the back and sides cut down to a No.4-guard and didn’t see any crease line issues. The back and sides had been growing out since the day of my surgery and I imagine in the next few months I should be able to cut the back and sides shorter than a 4-guard and not see any crease at all.

I can see one or two short stubby hairs growing out of my frontal hairline and I can feel a few short stubs in my suture line, but at 90 days post-op the majority of the grafts are still dormant.

In my experience, the 3 month mark is the most frustrating part of a hair transplant because the transplanted hairs are still dormant. Fortunately one of the most frustrating parts of a hair transplant is followed up by one of the most exciting parts and at 4 months that’s when the transplanted hairs start growing.

Check back next month in May when I reach 4 months post-op and things finally start happening.

Hello everyone,

Today is February 12, 2016 and I am now 3 months post-op from my second procedure.

At the three month mark, I’m still waiting for the new hairs to sprout up but have been getting a lot of ingrown hairs and pimples. This is a good sign as the newly transplanted hairs are starting to wake up and I can see a few more little spuds starting to poke their heads through.

When I was at the 3 month mark after my first procedure, I didn’t bother doing a video because there wasn’t a whole lot to talk about and in my opinion the three month mark is the most frustrating part of a hair transplant. You would think after 90 days there would be something to show for it but, alas, the hairs really don’t start growing until the 4-month mark.

I got a haircut the last week of January to clean up the back and sides of my head and my suture line has healed beautifully. I got a 4-guard and there was no crease line like how I had to be aware of after my first procedure. In fact, I think it healed so well that I could have probably done a 3.5- or even a 3-guard and you still wouldn’t see it.

Check back next month at 4 months post-op when the transplanted hairs finally begin to grow.

Hello everyone,

Today is October 16, 2014 and I am now three months and two days or 94 days post-op.

Not much has changed since my last update however I have noticed that more ingrown hairs are developing on the top of my head where many of the multiple follicular units were placed. This is a sign that more hairs are starting to wake up and sprout.

My skin is still pink in the transplanted areas and the hairs are getting long but looking patchy.

This is normal for the three-month mark and in the next two months is when the hair will really start coming in and thickening up.

Over the weekend I visited my sister, brother-in-law, and my parents and it wasn’t until we were standing side-by-side in the sun that my dad noticed my pink scalp and new hairs sprouting. I didn’t plan on telling my family until more hair grew in but they figured it out and were really impressed with the suture line and are also looking forward to my final results.
